Due to a bush fire, I couldn’t go to the gym yesterday, so I tapped for disappointment instead. Today, I went to the pool in my complex, for the first time since this nasty chest thing. The water felt cold at first, so I went only as deep as my knees. Then I went a bit further in. But there was something about the cold water on my belly that felt too cold. My other half said “tap on it, the tapping will make you warm”. So I tapped:
“Even though it’s scary going in the cold water I deeply accept myself”
“It’s scary when the cold water touches my belly”
“Something scary about cold water touching my belly”
“My lungs have felt cold for nearly the whole of this month”
“Even though I’m terrified I won’t be able to breather when the cold water reaches my chest, which is why it’s scary when it reaches my belly, I deeply accept myself”
Suddenly, I was overcome by a desire to dive into the water, so I did! Some guys soon joined us for water polo and we had such fun!
When you have a chronic physical condition, anything that either emotionally or physically has a negative impact on you can make the condition worse. EFT is one way of throwing away the emotional rubbish collecting in your system. In the same way that we dispose of our household rubbish regularly for home cleanliness and hygiene, I use EFT to dispose of negative emotions for my optimal physical health.
