I Did it Again – Thanks EFT

A Dream I Had Never Even Thought Possible

My left lung, EFT, and Buteyko, did it again. With regards to half-marathons, the score so far is: Suzanne 2, COPD a big fat zero!

From Coughing Up Blood For Up To 5 Hours Most Mornings (then calming myself down with a cigarette) to Half-Marathon Success – It wasn’t an easy journey. Along the way, I found EFT. Then I started this blog. Now all that hard work is worth it.

I find it essential to do aerobic exercise for my lung health, especially when in an upright position, rather than on a bike, as the damaged tube(s) in my left lung are then challenged to open. And stay open. The effect lasts for days after the effort. EFT takes the hardness out of the effort and I end up really enjoying my workout. My health was not always as good as this. EFT For Denial About My Experience

It is 1st January 2017. A new year and one that myself and many of my friends and acquaintances are glad to see. 2016 Was a hard year it seems for many. It was especially hard for me. Due to others being involved, I cannot divulge much, but just take my word for it that 2016 was one of the worst years of my life.

My lung health was overall pretty good. Otherwise, I suffered terribly, due to circumstances I had chosen to live under, not realising just how harmful it was going to be for me.

So, I was talking to someone upon awakening. I expressed how glad I was that 2016 was over. they then proceeded to totally negate everything they knew I had suffered that year and pretend it was a great year. They pointed out some business successes. To be honest, at my level of skill and experience, that to me is nowhere near what I could have achieved had circumstance not been so literally horrific. I tried to hold my ground but to no avail, That person wanted to negate my terrible experiences. This creates a conflict, where I would want to hold onto the bad feelings, as a witness to what had happened to me.

But I do not want bad feelings. And certainly not in the new year, the new leaf, the new beginning!

On a scale of 10-0, where 10 is the worst and 0 is neutral, I feel a 7. It is in my chest and I just want to scream “I suffered, why can’t you just recognize that and move on?!” So I tap:

After about 15 minutes of this tapping, I am at a 0 out of 10. I am feeling more productive, getting ready for more creative, productive, and useful work. Thank you EFT!

EFT helps me With Everything

My health is amazing now. This is no coincidence but due to regular tapping and the discipline of using EFT to help me 🙂 EFT releases energy blocks that can make me ill again. I truly believe this, having experienced the effects of untapped stress on my body, even if it just leads to a cold. Because with COPD, a cold can be a pretty big deal. So I tap away any unwanted feelings as soon as I can, to remain healthy and happy.

Grieving – My Medical Emigration Cut Short

Today, I became very sad whilst shopping for my EFT workshops. What should have been a happy occasion filled with joy at meeting and teaching new pupils EFT became a grieving for what I have recently lost. So I talked to myself in my head as I walked and shopped, surreptitiously rubbing my thumb and finger together to do EFT.

Now I tap-and-type. I tap on the Collarbone continuously as I type. It’s really helping:

I had left my native UK to go abroad for better medical care in South Africa. I got exactly that and more. My health seriously improved. And I learned a lot more about wellness and health. And I married my South African love. And we took our cat there. And I met some lovely people. No-one will ever replace the family and friends I have back here in England, but I so miss all the lovely people I met. And my spouse. And cat. Both of whom are waiting for me to bring them over, as we go through the visa applications here. We were all meant to return in 2018, but the South African immigration people had other ideas, and my family here had not seen me for two years. So I made a hard decision, which I do not regret…

Crying and tapping…

Shopping for work decorative ornaments and chairs today, I saw so much that was imported from Africa. It tore at my heart. It’s not fair…

Tapping and crying…

I left my Love in Africa. And my beautiful office. Now, I found 2 chairs identical almost to the first office chairs I had bought in Africa about 7 years ago. I love them. They are there for my lovely EFT course attendees. And my Reiki course attendees. And the grief is so bitter-sweet. Finding these special chairs. Missing my Love. Bitter-sweet.

Tapping, crying getting less and less. ?Feeling better.

My daughter awaits me for dinner. I look forward to it.

Tears taste salty.

My heart is broken in a million little pieces. Waves of grief will keep coming over me. Better thought now…

EFT Tapping For Grieving – Why This Post On a COPD Blog?

Because there is enough evidence that unhappy emotions can exacerbate a physical condition or possibly even help to bring it on. I do everything I can to help my left lung, which has been behaving 100% for most of the past few weeks. This is no coincidence 🙂 When you have a chronic physical condition, anything that either emotionally or physically has a negative impact on you can make the condition worse. Tap-and-type (typing one-handed), tap-and-write, and tap-and-talk are excellent ways of releasing emotional pressure when you don’t have time to do more, or are overwhelmed. I hope this helps you or someone you care for. EFT is one way of throwing away the emotional rubbish collecting in your system. In the same way that we dispose of our household rubbish regularly for home cleanliness and hygiene, I use EFT to dispose of negative emotions for my optimal physical health. I call an emotion anything that your mind or body says to you, from fear to constricted airways. My health was not always as good as this.
