Deadline Stress Released Tapping to a Video with EFT

I promised to report back the results of the last EFT session. The stress of moving house etc has gone for today. So, feeling still ill with the chest infection, it just did not feel right to go to the gym. Way too cold (it is mid-winter here in Cape Town, and the afternoon is proving really chilly).

So, I sat to do some work and got the motivation to start working on that report…

It was good that I did. Although there was only a small part to complete, I realized that I had not been given very important financial information with which I needed to complete that part. I did what I could and reported to my colleague what was wrong. I am so glad I did it. If I had left the report any longer, it may have been too late to detect the mistake. I have about 2 months to complete the report, so hopefully, in the next few weeks, I will have the information I need. It is important for me to finish all such work in good time this year, because of the house move.

But I really felt the pressure caused by having to ask my colleague, on a Saturday, after perhaps the first time in 5 years that she had gotten drunk the evening before and staying up all night, bless her… Not the best time to make any sense out of anyone! So, feeling the stress of having to speak coherently and slowly, I went onto Facebook, found a sad video and tapped along on my CollarBone as I cried:

That tapping released all the stuck “unggghhhhh” inside me and I feel much better. So, now, even though I am still bored and stuck at home, I have decided to take it easy and enjoy the rest of the evening regardless.

When you have a chronic physical condition, anything that either emotionally or physically has a negative impact on you can make the condition worse. EFT is one way of throwing away the emotional rubbish collecting in your system. In the same way that we dispose of our household rubbish regularly for home cleanliness and hygiene, I use EFT to dispose of negative emotions for my optimal physical health. I call an emotion anything that your mind or body says to you, from fear to constricted airways. My health was not always as good as this. Tapping Away Stress of Moving House with EFT

Stuck at home with a chest infection, I am toying with 2 ideas:

  • Doing long-overdue work
  • Going to the gym this afternoon

The first option, well, I have been trying for 3 and a half hours but just don’t feel motivated today. The second option can make me feel better, and I won’t over-exert myself. I am already on antibiotics and getting better. The problem is that last week was a week of disturbed sleep, getting up unable to breathe, and I feel tired. Then again, I cannot sleep now, as I worry about not doing the above 2 items. I feel gym-deprived, and the work is really long overdue. There is a report to be finished, and it is only the last bit of it. I had thought this morning to get up and go to the gym, which would get me in the right mood for the report. But I got up and had to nurse my other half, who also has the infection and could not breathe last night but got up and worked instead. I think we are both worried about moving house. It has come at a most inappropriate time. Our landlady is selling, and is being very nasty. We had thought that we could stay here until we could buy our own place, but now not only do we have to move, but we also have to go through rent tribunal and possibly take legal action. We cannot buy a house until I get my permanent residence here in Cape Town in 2015. It is very frustrating living like this. I had sold my beautiful apartment in London, UK, for a limiting belief that I then had – “I would give it all up for love”. That was before I learned EFT. How I wish I had EFT then. But still, I have it now. Tapping…

Setup: “Even though I’m worried about moving house and all the landlady trouble, I deeply love and accept myself.”

Reminder:  “Worry about landlady trouble.”

Funny that, I no longer am worried about moving house. Only the landlady trouble remains.

Setup: “Even though I’m worried about this annoying unnecessary landlady trouble, I deeply love and accept myself.”

Reminder: “Annoying unnecessary landlady trouble.”

Added the 9-Gamut whilst repeating the Reminder.

I feel so much lighter. I think I will go to the gym this afternoon and then tackle finishing the report. I’ll keep you updated how it went!

PS – This is what my in-box pretty much looks like. I just am no longer that bothered about it.

So, was this different to what you expected me to tap on for my lung health? Chest Infection and Running

I have a slight chest infection. And If I were to go to the doctor with every chest infection, I would be there once every two months. I cannot take the stronger medications that the doc can give me, due to side effects, so I continue my fitness regime in order to strengthen my lungs. And I ran out of colloidal silver, which I use sparingly, maybe one week a month, in order to control chest infections. At the moment, my optimal chest health is essential. I am training for a half-marathon, and my training has slipped back with this infection. I am back to running only 30 minutes at any one time.

Yesterday, I ran by the beach whilst rubbing the finger points (since I couldn´t tap in public) and simply kept pondering my dilemma over and over again. I had bought olive leaf extract simply because my spouse can take it and not the silver (we both have a slight chest infection). The rubbing whilst focusing on my issue helped me with a great insight. I had been worried about buying two things, the olive leaf extract and the colloidal silver, because of budget. We had a lot of payments going out at the end of the month and had to be careful. However, it was a false economy, because it would be cheaper for me to have the silver and my spouse to have the olive leaf extract. This is because the silver is cheaper. So instead of us both using an expensive product, I could use the cheaper one which my chest does much better on. The colloidal silver works for me within 20 minutes. So if one day I wake up with the slightest chest infection, I can take the silver and run.  And then my chest is fine.

Of course, I´m not a doctor or herbalist and so I am not giving any advice here. Rather, I am sharing my experience of how tapping helped me to gain insights and solve a problem.  I went running this morning and the only reason why I had to be limited to half an  hour was that it was all the time I had available  🙂
