Asthma Symptoms and Wheat

I ended up yesterday with asthma symptoms due to eating way too much wheat for my body – wheat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. I noticed it whilst working in the evening yesterday. I was wheezing and had lots of phlegm to cough up. Today, I ended up with loose stools. So on my way into work, I kept rubbing the finger points together (alternative to tapping when you are in public) as I said to myself “Even though I have had too much wheat, I ask my body to find a way to cope with it. I apologize to my body and promise to have a wheat-free day today.”

I felt better within about 5 minutes. And I have eaten accordingly with no trouble or hassle :-)

When you have a chronic physical condition, anything that either emotionally or physically has a negative impact on you can make the condition worse. EFT is one way of throwing away the emotional rubbish collecting in your system. In the same way that we dispose of our household rubbish regularly for home cleanliness and hygiene, I use EFT to dispose of negative emotions for my optimal physical health. I call an emotion anything that your mind or body says to you, from fear to constricted airways. My health was not always as good as this. Knee Injury

I got a knee injury. So I set forth tapping for the pain, doing stretches, strengthening exercises, low-impact training, compression, etc, and it was gradually getting better.

Then today, as I was at the gym doing yet another low-impact cardio workout and tapping, it just popped into my head why I got the injury. OK, so this was my weak knee, and OK, it was prone to trouble, but I got this latest injury on the day of the Two Oceans Half-Marathon that I was supposed to be initially running. If you have been following my progress, you will probably remember that this is the race I had decided I was not quite ready for, and that I had chosen the Darling Half-Marathon instead, a less formal race a month later. Well, on the day of the Two Oceans half, I was out training, and some youths made fun of me, making remarks about Two Oceans and that I had wandered off the track. I did not realise at the time just how deeply hurt I was. As soon as I realised it today, my knee suddenly stopped hurting, and I wanted to run again. I kept tapping on the incident until zero. And then I closed my eyes and vividly imagined it to test if it was really gone. I then heard one of those teens in my mind saying “Two Oceans” sarcastically, in that teenage-boy voice. It was a 3 out of 10. So I kept tapping as I remembered the voice. Then I closed my eyes and tried to vividly imagine it again, and all I saw was fluffy balls of white cotton wool instead! It was gone. I went to the treadmill and ran 2.23 km.

I will increase gradually and carry on with the knee care. Apart from a tiny bit of soreness in some positions, the pain has gone. Like magic!

By the way, my breathing is doing wonderfully with all this training. Roll on the 21st May, the day of my first half-marathon.

Gym motivation with EFT

Having finally gotten rid of the Chest Infection From Hell, I have now been 3 full-on days back at the gym training.  Oh my goodness, I am soooo unfit!

In the Spin class today, there was no way I could have finished the 90-=minute class without EFT. I just tapped for every objection that came to my mind:

“Even though I don’t think I can do this…”

“Even though I just don’t have the energy…”

“Even though the slowest fattest person has left and now I’m the worst…”  That situation did not last long!

“Even though my legs are complaining…”

“Even though it hurts…”

I did the whole 90-minute class and then went on to the gym equipment, the ski machine, stretches, and the rowing machine. I kept tapping through every objection, until I got to the point where the tapping no longer was keeping me going. That was the EFT telling me my body had enough and more was going to put me at risk of an injury (something I never do). I love this tapping! It not only is motivational but it shows you when you have to stop.
