Second day running with no exercise-induced asthma at all!

Again today, as soon as the instructors said to breathe in, I held my breath, tapping furiously, then recovered by doing little mouse-breaths. And in my Yoga class, there was a newbie who acted seemingly very selfishly although I am sure it was not on purpose. After tapping, my huge indignation and temper totally calmed and we smiled at each other and shared a moment of camaraderie. For that, I scratch-tapped my Under Nipple points – easy peasy. And thatś not all EFT has done for me in the gym today. Before starting, I tapped for my left knee and all the emotions it was trying to get me to release – successfully. The way I did it is simply tapped ¨Even though I have this [emotion at person] in my left knee, I deeply love and accept myself¨. I did it in the changing-room before I started. Woohoo!

Gym motivation with EFT

Having finally gotten rid of the Chest Infection From Hell, I have now been 3 full-on days back at the gym training.  Oh my goodness, I am soooo unfit!

In the Spin class today, there was no way I could have finished the 90-=minute class without EFT. I just tapped for every objection that came to my mind:

“Even though I don’t think I can do this…”

“Even though I just don’t have the energy…”

“Even though the slowest fattest person has left and now I’m the worst…”  That situation did not last long!

“Even though my legs are complaining…”

“Even though it hurts…”

I did the whole 90-minute class and then went on to the gym equipment, the ski machine, stretches, and the rowing machine. I kept tapping through every objection, until I got to the point where the tapping no longer was keeping me going. That was the EFT telling me my body had enough and more was going to put me at risk of an injury (something I never do). I love this tapping! It not only is motivational but it shows you when you have to stop.

Preparing to go back at gym since cold

I had a huge workload, worked up to 21 hours a day, neglected my body, then got a cold. Yes, I know the cold was inevitable the way I chose to work, and yes, I hope I have learned my lesson. I soon go back to the gym for the first time, and I feel sad about the almost two weeks off the gym that I have had.

“Even though I feel sad and worry about how much fitness I have lost, I deeply love and accept myself”

As I tap, I remember that I still have a slight chest infection.

Setup
“Even though I have this bacterium in my chest, and it has not totally gone yet, I fight this bacterium and love myself.”

Reminder
“I fight this bacterium, I reject this bacterium, I love myself”

I tried saying this Reminder
“I fight this bacterium 100%, I reject this bacterium 100%, I love myself 100%”
And I didn’t really buy into the first two. The number that flashed in front of me was 68-73%. So I am repeating this tapping now.

I also thumped where my spleen is, thumping the places kinesiologist Dee Platt had advised me to massage.

I feel more awake somehow :-)

EFT for going the whole hour on cardio machines

Another surreptitious tapping success at the gym.

I missed my first class in the gym. And the second. Nothing emotional, just work. But I did make the third choice. This was Pilates for an hour. Since tapping on insecurities a long time ago, I no longer breather like they want me to, as I find it encourages hyperventilation – no good for COPD or asthma.  So, after a lovely class, I had another hour in the gym and I had to spend it on the cardio machines.

I did 53 minutes. Then I was feeling bored and wanting to go back to work. But that’s when I tapped:

“Even though I can’t make 7 more minutes…”

OK, that helped. It took me to half-way, 3.5 minutes. I wanted to stop. So I tapped continuously with the finger points (rubbing or tapping them on the handlebars or against each other) as I stepped on the stepping machine (great lung workout). I observed my thoughts as I was considering going on for 10 minutes now! I stopped at 8, 1 minute beyond my plan. Not bad!

EFT Tapping at Virgin Active Tableview in Cape Town Spin Class

I had a tummy bug and so this is my second day properly at the gym, and it’s good that my health is picking up again almost where I left off. I started tapping discreetly by rubbing the finger points against the handlebars, then ended up rubbing some extra points from the Under Nipple down. The statements I used were something like:

“1 minute [at very high speed]” when we had a 1-minute breakaway.

“I can do this. YES I CAN”.

“I am Superwoman” Now that one made me weaker, whereas in the past it had worked. So I tapped on all the issues around it, or should I say – rubbed.

At one point, I felt like I was breathing freely. It was the most amazing feeling, to feel normal again. It didn’t last, but I remember it and hold onto it.

Gillian (worth a visit to Virgin Active in Cape Town’s Tableview – she really gets the music) was saying something to those in the group training for Ironman. At the same time, I happened to be tapping, and all of a sudden it hit me: There is no reason why I can’t make that my goal! OK, I’ll start small, with a small event, and build up. I reckon it will take me 4 years to get my fitness up to the level of entry in a smaller event, but I now plan to do it. I gave myself till January 2014 to become ready. 3 Years and 11 months and counting…

Yes I Can Tapping

At the gym this morning, I wanted to take the higher weight and really felt I couldn’t do it. So I started tapping “Even though I can’t…”

Then it changed to “I can, I can, yes, I can!”

I took the higher weight. I did it!

13.5 Minutes at 100spm with EFT Adaptation

I tapped on the bike and tapped and whenever I thought I just couldn’t go any longer, I tapped….

I tapped whatever finger points I could on the handlebars and screen. Setups included “Even though I just can’t do any more, I deeply…” Then the self-talk changed to a visual:

I CAN
YES I CAN

Then this changed to:

I CAN
YES I CAN

So I did 13.5 minutes in intervals of 45 to 120 s !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Next target 20 minutes, then I start aiming for 20 continuous minutes as I get fitter and fitter. I LOVE this!

Gym tapping is working

I had a particularly challenging class at the gym today. I tried my best, although there are still some moves I can’t do. I tapped whilst doing one stretch.

Setup and Reminder:
“%$&$^&%, this $^&$ hurts, OMG, I don’t think I can do this, I accept myself anyway”

I did do a lot, and did not overdo it. However, the teacher was going around the class helping, and I kept thinking she will come and help me, but she didn’t. I thought this strange, as I clearly couldn’t do some of the moves. At the end of the class, she said that I had done “good work” and seemed to think that I was doing it all right. In the class itself, she said something out to everyone that I think was aimed at me “One of you is struggling, but she is doing her best, and that’s great, keep going.” I think the tapping made sure that my technique and effort level were just right and she did not help me because I needed no further help. Now, as far as I’m concerned, that is proof the tapping works.

By the way, you don’t have to swear for it to work – I don’t normally ;-)

Knee release at the gym with EFT stretch-and-tap

I can swing my hips again!

This is what happened; I’m soooo excited about this…

A bit of history first… Last year, I took asthma medication that had the terrible side-effect of joint trouble. Since then, my health has improved tremendously and I have learned not to be tempted with drugs like that (Singulair); they are a quick fix that helps the patient not to deal with the roots of the issue. Anyway, I had a pre-existing weakness in my right hip, and my left knee, and they both became worse. EFT and massages helped me manage them, and I was putting off a chiropractor visit, as I had to go through the process of finding a new good one in my new country of residence. Since I have been getting better and better, my heart and lungs now readily embrace long spin and cycle classes at the gym. I go to Virgin Active in Tableview, and it has some great classes on. I also go to pump, Bosu, and body conditioning classes, as well as Yoga, sometimes Pilates, and stretch. Embracing a number of classes with gusto, I twisted my knee a bit and it became swollen and painful. A friend noticed me walking with a limp.

But, I found a new use for EFT which worked magic for these mishaps in my joints!

I call it stretch-and-tap. Every time I stretched on the mats and every time I stretched in a class I used it. I started by waiting till the stretch became challenging, then tapping on any EFT points I could reach whilst the tissues were challenged. This helped the stretch go further and helped me stretch more efficiently. This worked, but with the new increased load of exercise stressing my joints and the twist effect on my knee, something else was needed if I was to avoid that painstaking new chiropractor search very soon.

So I started adding words while I stretched:

“Even though I have this pain just there, I DEEPLY and COMPLETELY love and accept myself”

Better, but not quite there yet. I persisted, and that in itself was helping. Then I started thinking of what emotions are in my joints. I assumed that I still had anger in my left knee at the makers of Singulair and the doctors who do not report side-effects. This is even though I had already tapped this aspect many times over and thought it was long gone.

“Even though I have this Singlulair anger in my knee, …”

“Even though I have this doctor anger in my knee, …”

“Even though I feel violated by Big Pharma, …”

It was the “violated” word that did it. My knee joint popped into place with a bang. I was delighted! All pain was instantly gone, mobility improved tremendously, and there was just some soreness and weakness in the joint.

At home that evening, I stretched for my right hip again, as my buttock was sore. As I stretched, I asked what emotion could be stored there. I channeled Reiki to the area, and immediately the answer came to me. It was my right hip, so it had to do with the male side of me, the provider. I had been finding it challenging providing in the recession:

“Even though I have this recession worry in my right hip joint, my male hip joint, I deeply…”

Bang! My hip joint snapped back into position, and my back and legs felt freer than they had felt for a year! I walked around my home over and over, swinging my hips as I walked!

Still, the job was not done. I still had some soreness around the knee joint, as if the muscles wanted to revert to the old bad position. So my spouse agreed to muscle-test me using my big anatomy book and came up with the following problem parts: My left femur, lateral condyle, and the combination of the patella and the plantaris muscle. I tapped for all, eg:

“Even though I have this problem with the patella and plantaris acting together, I deeply…”

A retest showed all was well for now. The wobbliness in my knee joint totally disappeared. It no longer felt like it was going to go back to the bad position. I will carry on tapping for a few more weeks to make sure the joint stabilzes completely, but hey… I can swing my hips even more freely now as I walk! Thank you Gary Craig :-D

Telesales fear overcome

A couple of days ago, I did some telesales with positive results. All good and well. Then, one of the people I called gave me a contact to call that can help me. I said thank you and called. This person I called proceeded to tell me that I was possibly breaking the law about something, and that I must take her very long and expensive course etc etc etc or I’ll be locked up etc, and that I must do this ethnic black stuff (which sounded racist to me – she’s white), and all sorts of scary stuff. I then spoke to someone helping me promote and get recognition for my training workshops in South Africa, who said yes I could be on the wrong side of the law with one word I was using in the description of what i do, and that I have to change that word. She gave me a contact, which I called, and they helped me further. as a result, i spent every spare and supposedly leisure hour yesterday fixing my web presence to remove that one word. I was really upset and scared, as all my efforts to find out about this legality before coming to the country got me nowhere, and I could have been in trouble as a result of this.

Now today, I started doing telesales again, but could not get started, no matter what I did. I tapped:

“Even though I’m scared what will happen this time, I deeply …”

“Even though I’m scared what I’ll uncover this time, …”

I got on the phone. Now having a break and will go back in the next 10 minutes or so.
