Mucle-testing and EFT injury treatment

I am tapping, stretching, and doing remedial exercises for an injury I exacerbated when I ran my half-marathon. It consisted of my left knee and right hip. My left knee is almost back to normal function and no longer hurts. My right hip feels much better but still needs work. Three weeks ago, I was sitting in my Cape Town clinic in-between clients and decided to muscle-test for which muscles, bones, tendons, or ligaments were involved. I started with just around my right hip and from my left knee down. If you are new to muscle-testing, it is a technique from Kinesiology and involves using a muscle for bio-feedback of what is wrong. I used my anatomy and physiology book and a simple finger muscle to test. The following is a list of what came up, which I decided to tap on until all symptoms went, or until I felt like testing again to see what remains and what else needs healing.

Right hip:

  • Sacrum and coccyx
  • Gluteus maximus
  • Gluteus minimus
  • Obturator exrernus
  • Piriformis
  • Deep transverse perineus

From the left knee down:

  • Patella
  • Poplitial fossa
  • Popliteus
  • Tibialis posterior
  • Plantaris
  • Patellar ligament
  • Extensor hallucis longus
  • Extensor hallucis brevis
  • Extensor digitorium brevis
  • Metatarsals

I am tapping now on this list, one by one. Whenever I tapped on it before, I ended up falling asleep. This is what tapping on physical root causes does to me. It’s a good sign, as it only happens to me when there has been a shift. I am using this simple tapping procedure.

The ……………. is the body part above. I am also getting my anatomy and physiology book open in front of me, so I can see where this body part is and connect to it better.

Two hours later, I am now finished! I had to take a break in the middle. My legs jumped about when I got to the toes and their muscles. And I can feel my backside relaxed on the right like it has not been for months. This is the first time that I have lasted the whole list. Interestingly, I can see from my anatomy and physiology book what improvements I have made that are related to this tapping over the last 3 weeks, and it is very encouraging.

Stretching-EFT – Hip Flexors and Piriformis Tapping

Stretching after a workout is now also an opportunity for me to EFT whatever stresses I am experiencing. This is what I did the other day.

I started with my hip flexors. As I leaned into the stretch, I asked myself what emotions can be stuck there. The answer that came to my mind was inflexibility, as I have been presented with quite a number of inflexible challenges lately. So I rubbed acupressure points at the hip (taught to me by a client) as I said in my head “Even though I have this inflexibility in my life right now, I deeply love and accept myself”. As I rubbed, I felt my hip joints loosen as I felt as if a huge weight was lifted off me. I did some more, tapping the BelowNipple points as I stretched. The BN is my personal favorite, followed closely by the Gamut point. Nothing special about them except that they really do it for me personally. You may have personal favorites or you may not. Either situation is OK.

I then moved on to a stretch for the bum and my poor tight Piriformis on the right. I guessed this was due to financial pressures, as I have earned way below what my spouse did this month. So I tapped on the Gamut point as I closed my eyes and also did the Eye Roll several times as I said something like “Even though I have this financial inflexibility in my life right now, and Ouch! It hurts… I deeply love and accept myself”. That kept me in the stretch that otherwise I would have gotten out of too early.

I finished off with a tummy stretch and came back home feeling amazing!

Homeopathic-EFT Flu Protection for Winter in Cape Town

I choose not to have flu this year. Or if I really do catch it, I choose to have it mild. This is what I did:

  • Got a homeopathic preparation of the energy of the current flu strain from White´s the chemist on Parliament Street.
  • Got the same of other flus and cold over the past decade.
  • Held the homeopathic preparations in one hand and tapped with the other ¨I ask my body to fight this flu. I ask my body to be prepared to fight these viruses. My body calmly and efficiently makes antibodies to these viruses. I deeply love and accept myself. I accept myself and fight these viruses.¨
  • I also do this when I encounter a sick person on the bus. I say while I tap I choose to form antibodies to this virus. I accept myself and fight this virus¨.
  • I am taking herbal solutions to strengthen my immunity whenever needed.
  • I am taking a vitamin D supplement whenever I get little sunshine.
  • I am eating the best and most natural food for my body type that I can get.
  • I am keeping up my exercise at the gym to keep my lungs healthy.
  • I am using the Buteyko method to help me breathe better. So far, Buteyko breathing with EFT tapping were there for me on a couple of occasions recently when I went out without my inhaler and needed my left lung to open at the site of the obstruction.

So, with a mixture of EFT, homeopathy, herbs, and nutrition, I am so far free from cold and flu this year, despite several clients becoming ill with them and being exposed to lots of people sniffling and coughing. If I do get them, I will post about how I am fighting the virus.

(Edited 6 weeks later: I got the flu, but for one-and-a-half days only. I bounced straight back to health, with a minor chest infection afterwards that was remedied with some herbs, and I´m feeling great!)

Knee Injury

I got a knee injury. So I set forth tapping for the pain, doing stretches, strengthening exercises, low-impact training, compression, etc, and it was gradually getting better.

Then today, as I was at the gym doing yet another low-impact cardio workout and tapping, it just popped into my head why I got the injury. OK, so this was my weak knee, and OK, it was prone to trouble, but I got this latest injury on the day of the Two Oceans Half-Marathon that I was supposed to be initially running. If you have been following my progress, you will probably remember that this is the race I had decided I was not quite ready for, and that I had chosen the Darling Half-Marathon instead, a less formal race a month later. Well, on the day of the Two Oceans half, I was out training, and some youths made fun of me, making remarks about Two Oceans and that I had wandered off the track. I did not realise at the time just how deeply hurt I was. As soon as I realised it today, my knee suddenly stopped hurting, and I wanted to run again. I kept tapping on the incident until zero. And then I closed my eyes and vividly imagined it to test if it was really gone. I then heard one of those teens in my mind saying “Two Oceans” sarcastically, in that teenage-boy voice. It was a 3 out of 10. So I kept tapping as I remembered the voice. Then I closed my eyes and tried to vividly imagine it again, and all I saw was fluffy balls of white cotton wool instead! It was gone. I went to the treadmill and ran 2.23 km.

I will increase gradually and carry on with the knee care. Apart from a tiny bit of soreness in some positions, the pain has gone. Like magic!

By the way, my breathing is doing wonderfully with all this training. Roll on the 21st May, the day of my first half-marathon.

I am currently training for a half-marathon as part of my way to breathe more easily with smokers lung. I am enjoying the running tremendously, using EFT to make it all much easier. Week 5 of Runners World Running Training

This week started today, and I was terrified that this week is the week the COPD wins. I was so afraid that I could not concentrate on anything and had to tap almost continually all day, till I got the guts to go to the gym and find out. At the gym, I caught the Yoga class, and it was very relaxing. Hard, but relaxing. And of course, I tapped at every opportunity there too. After the class, I went up to the treadmill, but decided to build my lungs up properly first. I went onto the elliptical trainer and tapped/rubbed my finger points against the handlebars while doing my Buteyko exercises for lung stamina. I kept going till I could walk the elliptical trainer for just over 10 seconds holding my breath, and then graduated to the treadmill.

On the treadmill, I was calm but still afraid and I tapped while I walked for about a minute, then I really wanted to run, so I started. I am on Week 5 of the Runners World training, and so I had to run 8 minutes straight. I kept tapping:

¨Even though Iḿ terrified, I deeply love and accept myself¨

¨Even though Iḿ so afraid the COPD will win this time, I deeply love and accept myself¨

It was helping, but I needed more, so I shouted in my mind the ¨I DEEPLY and COMPLETELY LOVE and ACCEPT MYSELF¨ and then there was no stopping me. I made myself stop at 8 minutes, rested 2 minutes, then  started again. I finished the next 8 minutes, and there was a smelly-cheap-perfume-spray person just next to me. Now, that obstruction in my left lung means that if anything irritates my lung, it can swell and the obstruction would stop me in my tracks. So I tapped for ¨poison person¨ and then simply changed to another treadmill. I kept going till I did my set of 3 8-minute runs. Then I allowed myself to break into a sprint. It lasted about 12 seconds but it was wonderful.

So….

Money Worry and Financial Stress

Tapping as I read what I’ve written:

My spouse, an IT contractor, is owed two months’ pay. Although on a normal month, we could cope with something like that, we also had to contend with over two weeks of no internet, due to the monopoly supplier here in South Africa not supplying the service, when we were both unable to drum up new business and were totally reliant on referrals, which is not easy when you are in a new country! I am very grateful for the referrals we got. We have survived August almost purely on referrals. However, we have a few partially-paid bills, and it is urgent that we fully pay them. When we did get the internet back (albeit in a slow form), new inquiries started to come in. I was so much in a mind-space of doom and gloom that I would initially miss seeing a sales inquiry email and see business rejections where there weren’t any. I would find out an hour later after tapping, when my mind would clear. Now another supplier, not even a South African one, has let me down, and I am losing more sales, until I can call them on Tuesday – my first opportunity. I am tapping several times a day to relieve the constant stress of it all.

After tapping:

Feeling very relaxed now. I know that I can take up the financial slack in September just with my business if need be, and that by the end of September, the most urgent of these bills will be paid; even if spouse and company contracted to have to part company and there is a wait for another contract. We have put measures in place to replace that income, and although they will only kick in in January, we can cope till then.

I started this tapping with an extreme pain in my neck and right shoulder and an intensity of about 8-9. Now the pain is gone completely and the intensity is about a 0. That’s good enough for me for now.

Having a chronic condition for over two decades usually means challenged finances, which I have been steadily improving by getting steadily better and working on the mainly practical and partly emotional blocks to money. Can’t sleep

My spouse is down to one small contract for now and I worry about when the next one will happen, as it is mainly down to me right now. So I am up worrying. Of course this won’t help anything.

Rash, neck pain, and cat allergy – gone again

Last week, I had a few very stressful days getting on target with work to help my spouse’s work. I did it, but it left me frazzled, despite tapping. I ended up with an all-over rash and my cat allergy went up to 2% of what it used to be at its worst. I had to take antihistamines to cope. And my neck ached and moved to the right. But, I kept tapping on all the issues, and this combined with some gentle exercises and stretches for my neck, all the above are gone.

If you have an issue which returns under extreme conditions, just keep tapping for it, and you may be pleasantly surprised at the results.

Now I am left with a very slight chest infection, which I am tapping for (“Even though I have this infection in my chest…”) and winning!

Anger at being ripped off – EFT provides a calm plan

I have been ripped off by supplier (on the day I found out for sure, I got an email from a well-wisher innocently saying “Welcome to Cape Town”. That really encapsulates it all. The rip-off merchant got me and my partner in this venture to open and run company at a cost we could not afford, lying that that was part of the process we needed to go through before we got our dream, our non-profit charity to help people. How heartless of that person, and now we are lumbered with an additional bill to close down this company and do a tax return at another huge cost, for no reason. I won’t say more here in case of libel charges, but basically, my head is throbbing, I want to kill someone, and I need to work more, harder, etc, in order to pay off this extra bill.
Tapping:
“Even though I’m mad…”
“Even though … lied to us…”

Now I am starting to calm down. From a 10 to an 8.
“Even though this is costing way more than we can pay right now….”
“Even though we’ve been ripped off…”
“Even though now I have to find more money very quickly…”
Now it’s down to a 6. I remember that I will be changing this supplier, but sadly, there is a large bill we were not expecting that has to be paid, and we still have to pay the real non-profit start-up costs, finally, from a genuine person with a conscience and professional pride.
“Even though this has been a costly lesson, there is nothing I can do about the past except learn from it, I’ve learned my lesson and now I move on”
It is down to 1, as it genuinely is a large financial burden from which I will have to somehow recover, so I don’t think it can go down further for now. However, I do have a clear plan of action.

If it wasn’t for EFT, I honestly would have ended up with massive pain in my shoulders, plus I would have spent money and eaten compulsively. This is a very big issue, and I feel calm about it now. I did give the person a peace of my mind earlier, though reasonably calmly, and I had put the phone down when they tried to accuse me of not understanding, when they had lied over the phone yet again.

OK – “Even though that f….ng ….. ………. …… b..ch f……ng lied to me, that f…ing lying scheming conniving f….ng lying f….ng b…ch!!!!!!!!!! :-D Oh well, she’s a truly unhappy person anyway, and I don’t need to waste my energy on losers like her. She’s even less than a loser -oh I can’t be bothered with this anymore” :-D
