Excited and Happy After Psychic Class

I am excited and happy after presenting a psychic teleclass with a truly awesome psychic reader Hayley Hayes. So why do I need to tap? Because I am so excited, I cannot concentrate, and it is getting in the way of doing my work.

This saved me from buying a diet coke, which I don´t respond to very well, due to the sweetener. It makes my neck and shoulders very sore. But I was seriously thinking about it.

Stretching-EFT – Hip Flexors and Piriformis Tapping

Stretching after a workout is now also an opportunity for me to EFT whatever stresses I am experiencing. This is what I did the other day.

I started with my hip flexors. As I leaned into the stretch, I asked myself what emotions can be stuck there. The answer that came to my mind was inflexibility, as I have been presented with quite a number of inflexible challenges lately. So I rubbed acupressure points at the hip (taught to me by a client) as I said in my head “Even though I have this inflexibility in my life right now, I deeply love and accept myself”. As I rubbed, I felt my hip joints loosen as I felt as if a huge weight was lifted off me. I did some more, tapping the BelowNipple points as I stretched. The BN is my personal favorite, followed closely by the Gamut point. Nothing special about them except that they really do it for me personally. You may have personal favorites or you may not. Either situation is OK.

I then moved on to a stretch for the bum and my poor tight Piriformis on the right. I guessed this was due to financial pressures, as I have earned way below what my spouse did this month. So I tapped on the Gamut point as I closed my eyes and also did the Eye Roll several times as I said something like “Even though I have this financial inflexibility in my life right now, and Ouch! It hurts… I deeply love and accept myself”. That kept me in the stretch that otherwise I would have gotten out of too early.

I finished off with a tummy stretch and came back home feeling amazing!

Finally – I Overtook Someone Running!

I am a relatively novice runner training for my first half-marathon. And I had to tap as I ran yesterday, as usual, on the shame of being overtaken by another runner. Then I carried on as normal, this time tapping to the theme from Superman playing in my head, with me as the superhero. I was also chanting cheers in my head like “Yes, I CAN”. When I was nearly back home again, the same man stopped me to say that he was impressed with how I overtook him and had so much stamina! I was astounded, and said that I was surprised, because he had overtaken me!

It turned out that his sprint was faster than mine, but he struggled to recover from each one, and his stamina suffered. I actually had overtaken him and run overall faster and further. Wow! And, he was a seasoned half-marathon runner. He said that I was ready to run a marathon and kept marvelling at my stamina.

When he explained how he found it hard to recover from his sprints, he breathed heavily in and out through his mouth. So I gave him a tip for stamina; keep your mouth closed and try to just breathe in and out through your nose, and you will go further. It is just a simple Buteyko thing that I have learned. I chose not to tell him about the tapping, as I felt it would have been too far out there for him to swallow, all in one conversation. Maybe next time, if we meet again.

I use a combination of simple Buteyko breathing techniques and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping to help me run. The fact that I am training for my first half-marathon is nothing short of a miracle to me, as I had been seriously ill with smokers lung for many years. The combination of these two methods works on all my physical and emotional blocks and enables me to run at my optimal best. I am truly blessed to have these skills.

Decision-Time – Two Oceans or Darling For First Half-Marathon?

Decision-time came today, where I had to decide whether to enter for the Two Oceans half-marathon or do a smaller half-marathon as my first. Of those, I fancied the Darling half-marathon on 21st May 2011, and called and got the details for comparison.  So I am tapping as I read and re-read the following factors.

  • My spouse has lost an important contract as an IT contractor three months ago (when the company went bust owing 4 months pay), and although we are recovering well from it, and I am blessed with an abundance of lovely clients, I am loathe to spend the Two Oceans entry fee just now when it is needed for other things (as has been the case for the last two months).
  • Although I am making phenomenal progress with distance and stamina, my speed is still slow (though improving).
  • The Darling half-marathon is:
    • About a fourth of the price for me as a non-South African.
    • Only about 700 entrants compared to 11500.
    • Three weeks later, which means three weeks extra training time working on my speed. And since I am progressing 0.1 km/hour faster per week, that means an extra 0.3 km/hour added to my speed).
    • Starts at 8:30 instead of 6 am (a big plus for a non-morning person).

OK, decision made. My first half-marathon will be at Darling on 21st May 2011  :-)

I am currently training for a half-marathon as part of my way to breathe more easily with smokers lung. I am enjoying the running tremendously, using EFT to make it all much easier. Can´t sleep 20-minute tapping cured it

At 5:34 this morning, I was awakened by the smell of my neighbours smoking – we had forgotten to close the bathroom window that faces theirs. I got up, instantly wide-awake with a shot of nicotine, spent the morning working till now (nearly 3 hours), and I am desperately trying to get back to sleep. I am also bothered by a racist remark made by a White South African that I have had to endure recently with a totally poker-face. I think I should tap on that, as it is stuck at a 2.

Tapping in the sun with a little help from a Labrador

This morning, I received an email which felt very uncomfortable. I was deciding whether to say anything or whether it was wise to say nothing. I was also very upset by what I felt was a wrong-doing in the email; not to me but to EFT in general. So I sat in in the sun on the grass behind the gym, rubbing my finger points as I mentally processed the issue. Basically, I just rubbed my finger points, as it was a public space, and thought about the issue and what I can say, whether it would be wise to speak up, what consequences there may be, the consequences of remaining quiet, and my upset about what I perceive as a wrong-doing. I was starting to feel a bit better, and then all of a sudden, I was descended upon by a friendly Labrador mix adorable dog, trying to lick me, all excited, trying to be all over me! Wow! At that moment, I felt instant relief. Then the dog came back and did it again, and I knew what action I had to take: say nothing. And it felt OK! The dog started to come to me another time, but I said thanks but you have to go to your owner now. So it did.

F*** You, I´m a Marathon Runner Mantra

That was my mantra yesterday. Let me put it in context. My day was absolutely awful due to being harassed by a crazy person by phone and email. It was not serious enough to call the police, and in my line of work, I do attract some aggressive types. But I was totally shaken and quite rightly felt threatened. You never know what someone like that will do. So no matter what and how I tapped, I stayed on a downer. Then I forced myself to go to the gym, got on the treadmill, and it was hard, so I tapped to release the emotions behind my lack of motivation. I tapped:

¨Even though I´m being harassed by this crazy woman, …¨ … No effect…

¨I´m a good runner¨…  ¨I´m a marathon runner¨… No effect…

I kept doing lots of tappings with little or no effect until I got really angry with this person. I ran as I saw her in my mind in front of me and tapped:

¨F*** you, f*** you¨

I was getting somewhere. I felt better. Then I developed a mantra:

¨F*** you, f*** you, I´m a marathon runner¨

That did it. I completed my training for the day with flying colors and felt immensely calm and motivated  :-)

Spousal EFT Tapping

I was really upset about something yesterday. My spouse, hearing my upset talk, started tapping on me straight away, and towards the end suggested a solution to the problem. I went from an 8 out of 10 to a zero and carried out the solution straightaway.

It must have been very effective, because I honestly cannot even remember what the problem was. I cannot even remember what the solution was exactly. It’s all in the past. I love spousal tapping!

Phew!

OK, I went on youtube a lot this week since we finally have unlimited internet in South Africa. And wham! It hit me! This song (and a few others) brought so many feelings about being away from family all over the world, especially one aunt and cousin that I really need to contact but cannot trace right now – although I am getting more ideas as I tap.

So, 12 hours of listening to youtube and tapping constantly on a day off. I tapped over and over again, downloaded the lyrics, tapped and tapped and tapped till I can listen to it and dance and smile instead of cry and cry. Of course, it was not they that left without saying goodbye, it was me. It took 12 hours to see it in perspective.

So youtube’s on the other computer playing continuously as I work.  I want to learn the words or at least some of them so I can sing along.  Mind you, I think I’m getting bored with it now.
